God’s Will For Our Life

“So we have not stopped praying for you, since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of His will…” – Colossians 1:9 (NLT)

God’s Word and His will are one.

God is calling us to discover our purpose; therefore, reading and meditating on His Word can help us establish a personal relationship and deepen our walk with Him. Jeremiah 29:13 (NLT) states, “If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.” Hence, knowing God’s will for our lives is very important to us, but we must seek to know Him first. We should be delighted to do His will, and keep His Word within our hearts according to Psalm 40:8.  Thus, we must guard and protect our hearts with all diligence, for out of it flows the issues of life.

Believers, God knows our hearts. While men look at the outward appearance, God looks deep within. Ask Him to help us to know Him more and to follow His ways.

Let us continue to seek the Lord, as we follow Him in obedience. Let’s be like Prophet Isaiah, who heard the Lord asking, “…Whom should I send as a messenger to these people? Who will go for us?” And he responded, “…Here I am. Send me.” (Isaiah 6:8 – NLT).

Like Isaiah, may God enlighten the eyes of our understanding so that we will know the hope of His calling, and what the riches of His glorious inheritance are for us. Submit to God and let Him lead you in this season of your life.

Prayer

Father, it is humbling to me to realise that You have adopted me as Your child and, like Jesus, I want never to let anything I do be done through strife or selfish motives, but in the lowliness of mind. I will always praise You and serve You. Thank You for allowing me to follow Your calling in Jesus’ name. Amen.
